Lima Enmudecida

Lima enmudecida.
Un silencio triste y largo.
Una pausa que no termina
de explicarse.
Un abismo incierto.

Los balcones, las terrazas,
las calles y los parques
mudos.

Pero puedo imaginar
el estruendo
dentro de cada rincón
en cada historia.

No puedo ver nada desde aquí,
las distancias se abstraen.
imagino cualquier lugar,
cualquier hogar
muy cerca.

El hambre prolonga el silencio
el tallo se quiebra.

No es un abismo,
es la inmensidad de
un mar incierto
y la trama que nos entrelaza.

Solo queda observar
y respirar ese tejido.

Lima muted.
A sad and long silence.
A pause that does not
finish explaining itself.
An uncertain abyss.

The balconies, the terraces,
the streets and the parks
muted.

But I can imagine
the noise
inside every corner
in every story.

I can't see anything from here, distances are abstracted.
I imagine any place,
any home
very close.

Hunger prolongs silence
the stem breaks.

It is not an abyss,
it is the immensity of an uncertain sea
and the plot that intertwines us.

It only remains to observe
and breathe this tissue.
