Stillstand displays the confrontation with myself and an analysis of the relationship towards my parents, my sister and the place I grew up in. Using my camera as a tool I wanted to hold on to my feelings and have the opportunity to go through them once again in the analog process of developing and scanning the film material.

This very personal project started with a weekend that turned into staying two months at my parent ́s place. A sudden standstill not just caused by Covid-19 but caused by the major difference between a capital city like Berlin and Wohlde, a 500 people-village I grew up in.
