Outdoors is a stage

by Dana Golan from Brooklyn, NY/Seattle, WA

I often wonder whether we’ve reached the point where the artificial has seemingly become the natural. The contrast between the two is thinning day by day, and once you really notice it, it’s hard not to see this visual conversation exist in the outside world. I’ve been trying to articulate this dichotomy for myself by highlighting the two together. The outdoors has become my stage, and trees, water, and nature as a whole, my performers. At night I imagine I’m on Broadway, the lights turn on and the crowd goes silent. The show has begun.
