My senses shut down

I don’t know when things began to go. It was slow and imperceptible, and then all at once absolute. Like my own personal experience of the shutdown. My senses shut down. Leaving me. Senseless. No smell. No Taste. The following are definitions of the word senseless: deprived of sensation / stupid or foolish/nonsensical or meaningless.

I believe all of the above apply to me in different ways during this period. Others wonder when the quarantine will end, I just want to taste and miss bad smells.

The pleasure of eating is lost on me. Most things I cook are disasters. Food for the birds.
