Message from Spain

In the morning when I check my phone there’s a message from my friends in Spain. It's a video from a doctor in Buenos Aires, who looks a bit like Jabba the Hut sitting behind a principals table. He explains that what many people don’t realize is that the coronavirus, “Can’t survive if it is exposed to extreme heat.”
That night, we all gather around the kitchen table and stick our heads into salad bowls full of boiling water. Rose lifts up her head, steam rising off her face and says, “I can feel the corona dying”. Later I try to look for the video to resend to the house group chat. It no longer exists.
